This shows you how to create a simple flag that flutters in the wind.

Note that to do any building in Second Life you either need a premium account and buy some land, or have access to a sandbox. A sandbox is an area of Second Life where you can build objects without having to own any land. You can find sandboxes by searching for "sandbox" in the Places search in Second Life.

This video introduces the concept of a "flexible path" that allows you to simulate cloth and other soft materials. In this case we want the flag to flutter in the wind, something that would be difficult to achieve without the flexible path option.

The heartening thing is how similar the two videos are in terms of the way they approach the problem. But hey, I'm told that great minds think alike!
